Celebrate Dance! Featuring the Performance Workshop Ensemble

SMAPA’s Performance Workshop Ensemble will hold its annual dance concert on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 3 p.m. We are excited to present several newly commissioned dance works as well as familiar favorites. The Performance Workshop Ensemble is a scholarship program that gives talented young dancers between the ages of 12 and 20 tuition assistance for all their classes, and the opportunity to perform throughout the local community. On June 2, we will also announce the 2024 recipient of the Joyce Copeland Scholarship, providing a full year of comprehensive dance training to a promising young student of color. You can still make a difference with a donation. During the '23/'24 school year, SMAPA provided services through grant funding to public schools in underserved communities for aspiring dancers.
